The real pisser is that while what I have learned is still in there my short term memory has gone to hell. My friends quickly learned that when I said "I can't remember" I was being polite. Eidetic memory is typified based on the ability of an individual to study an image for approximately 30 seconds and maintain a perfect photographic memory of the same image for a certain amount of time once it is removed. One astonished minute later she stopped me and apologized. So I started to give back her lecture from the beginning of class, nearly word for word. ![]() The reason for this may be that they are hard phenomena to test. Near the end of class the teacher said I was clearly not interested in graduating et cetera because I did not pay attention et cetera. There is little research exploring hyperthymesia and eidetic memory. As I never took notes I just sat there, slouched, eyes closed, listening. A eidetic memory is about as close to the superpower of total memory recall as humans can go. The topic was modal music in the Greek era.) I had two telling experiences in college. I graduated in three years summa cum laude. Maybe you have an eidetic memory (like Sheldon Cooper) and can remember exactly what. I just read the text once or listened to the lecture then answered the questions. Test your success (or failure) with this quick mental exercise. I never studied in college or took notes.
